A Torn Nail

My poor baby! He broke his nail, but it didn't come off. It was bleeding pretty bad, but he didn't even whine. That's one tough dog!

So they had to put him out, cut it off, cleaned it up and put a bandage on it. He's sleeping under the coffee table right now. He looks so cute with his blue medical wrapping on his paw.

Of course I said he's cute...what did you think I was gonna say?! ;)

Dog tired

Bauer is like clockwork. Every evening, right about 8:00pm, his little mug gets a little droopier.
If that's possible! He starts out sitting up. Then his eyes start to close and his head bobs. Pretty soon his front paws start to slide. You gotta wonder what the hold up is. Why doesn't he just lay down already! Probably cuz he's so darn cute. ;)

The Lovey

This is Bauer's "lovey"...it's a stuffed animal. A whale to be exact. We call it his lovey because he seems to go into an altered state of euphoria when he...well, chews on it. I don't quite know how to describe what he does with it. Bauer will put his paw over the lovey and he grunts and sort of chews on it. He closes his little eyes and drifts off into a meditative state that I envy. Another reason to to adore my cute little bulldog.

Such Sweetness

Bauer (aka. Bow Bow) was just sitting on the fireplace hearth and he looked so cute, as usual, I just had to take a picture of him. As I got up closer he gives me this sweet little look. I wonder what he's thinking? Maybe "When are you going to feed me?" or "We're not going to the vet again, are we?" Does he worry about that I wonder? I doubt it...he love the vet. Silly bulldog.

Bauer's Bathtime

Bauer was sooo stinky! His fur was starting to look grey, so I figured it was time to wash him. Since he has sensitive skin, we have to be careful what kind of dog shapmpoo we use to wash him. Otherwise he gets all dry and itchy, and an itchy Bow Bow is not a happy Bow Bow.

But just look at how cute he is! I love my cute little bulldog.

He's Possesed!

The only explanation I have for Bauer being on the couch is that he's possessed. I mean really, look at those eyes! It's like he's been taken over by some alien from outer space. Either that or he's decided that mommy's rules no longer apply. Maybe he's trying to tell me something? Like he needs a couch of his own? I've seen some really cute dog couches and dog beds online lately.

Bullie kisses

Awww...friends forever! Lily (the brown bear) and Layla (the polar bear) are BFFs, but sadly, Lily has moved away. Her mama tells me all Layla doses is cry at the door. What a heart breaking story! At least they had a chance to be together for a time. Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

Now those are some cute BFFs!

Baby Bauer

It's so late, but I just found this baby picture of Bauer and I had to share. Look at those wrinkly stumps he had for legs! He was probably about 4 weeks old when this picture was taken. Do I really have to say it?

Bauer is my third baby. He's just as spoiled as the first two human babies I have, trust me. Although I'm putting words in his mouth, it looks like he's saying "I don't like you right now." Perhaps it's guilt I'm feeling? I washed him today. He was NOT happy. But after all the fuss, he's all fresh and clean. He ran around and rubbed himself all over my couch.

Don't you think he looks cute? You know I do! ;)

Snack Time

Today I gave Bauer a bone and got the camera out. What a shot...look at that tongue! Why do I think it's so funny to watch him chew on it?! (um..easily amused?) He sounds like a pig the way he snorts and grunts while gnawing on it. Cracks me up!

I gave him his favorite..."Merrick Beefy Jerky Bones" Yummy!

Here is the picture of the week. Bauer (aka. Bow Wow), was very patient during his photo shoot today. He's not a diva at all. So down to earth...not letting the fame get to his head. All he needs is a little snack and he's good to go.

However, even the most professional model has limits. This came at the end of the shoot today when he just sat down and looked at me as if to say, "What?!"

Poor baby...just look at that tongue. For some reason, he just can't keep it in his pie hole when he sleeps. It gets all dry. Who can resist a little poke on the tongue? (not that way, don't be gross)

His little tongue gets all dry like sandpaper. He cracks me up! Such a cute face....muuuuah!

Lumpy Dog
